The Kushner Cobras defeated the Stars of Shaare Torah in dramatic fashion Monday night in Livingston 52-51. The Cobras and Stars played a see-saw game through until the beginning of the 4th quarter when Shaare began to heat up from behind the three point arc. The Stars took their largest lead of the game at 8, but the Cobras would not back down and after layups from Arthur Greenfield (9) Sam Raab (12) JJ Jerushalemy (14) and a Greg Artman free throw the Cobras noted he game at 49 a side with a minute to play. After two Star free throws with :07 left on the clock Greenfield raced down the court and passed to Jerushalemy for a contested three pointed that swished in as the buzzer sounded. Kushner received 10 points from Sam Bernstein and tough defense from Koby Stadtmauer, Avery Bell and Zach Tuchman. The Cobras travel to Manhatten next Monday night for a clash with the Ramaz Rams.
