After a long, traffic filled bus ride to Midwood Brooklyn Monday night, the Kushner Cobras shook off the rust and a lethargic start to defeat ShaareTorah 54-46. The Cobras trailing by 5 after the first and 6 into the locker room despite junior Sam Bernstein scoring 8 of his 10 points in the second period. After some halftime adjustments, Kushner came out on fire in the second half, led by Arthur Greefield who had 12 of his 15 points in the third period. With the game knotted at 38 heading to the final period, it was time for Kushner junior guard Sam Raab to go to work, Raab had several key steals and scored all 13 of his points in the final stanza. Kushner’s smothering defense was lead by Jake Jerushalemy, Sam Korbman and David Lowinger who also chipped in with 7 points. The Cobras return to action Wednesday night at home against MTA with the tip slated for 7:45, come out and cheer on your Cobras!
